THE ASSOCIATED PRESS A replica of the Biograph Theater marquee that hangs on the theater, made famous as the site where Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger was gunned down by FBI agents after seeing a movie, is illuminated Thursday during a preview for the Chicago landmark. The 299-seat movie house, with the marquee rebuilt because architects decided the original was in such bad shape it was unsalvageable, reopened Friday night as a home for live theater.
