The Quad-City Mallards have the International Hockey League’s goaltender of the week for a second straight week, but it’s not last week’s winner.
Kyle Jones needed one turn in net to follow lead Q-C goalie Jerad Kaufmann as the weekly winner. With Kaufmann nursing a virus, Jones stopped 38 of 39 Fort Wayne shots in a 3-1 win over the two-time defending IHL champions Saturday. Jones stopped 16 shots in the third.
