Former Quad-City area basketball players playing professionally overseas:

Jessan Gray

Data: 6-foot-8, forward

Q-C connection: Graduated from Davenport Central before playing college basketball at Indiana and Iowa State.

Current address: Began the 2009-10 season with Potros Itson in Mexico. Signed with Aguada in Montevideo, Uruguay on Oct. 16.

Numbers: Has averaged 12.1 points, 6.4 rebounds in 10 professional games this season.

Ian Hanavan

Data: 6-foot-8, forward

Q-C connection: Is a Moline graduate who played at Illinois-Chicago and Evansville at the collegiate level.

Current address: Spent four years playing professionally in Belgium's First Division before signing with a team in the Czech First League in 2008. Is playing CEZ Basketball Nymburk in Czechoslovakia, a team that has won six straight titles.

Numbers: The season is just under way, but Hanavan averaged 18 points and 6.5 rebounds last season for BK Prostejov.

Kyle Lamonte

Data: 6-foot-3, guard

Q-C connection: Davenport North graduate attended Marshalltown (Iowa) Community College before playing for Southern Mississippi and William Carey, an NAIA school.

Current address: A two-time MVP in the Eurobasket Summer League, he landed a tryout in Turkey last season but did not sign professionally until this fall. He is playing for Aguada in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Numbers: Leads the Liga Uruguaya de Basketball in scoring with an average of 31.5 points per game. Also is averaging 5.6

Jay McAdams-Thornton

Data: 6-foot-4, guard/forward

Q-C connection: Is a Moline graduate who played his college basketball at Augustana College.

Current address: Playing in his third season in German professional leagues, joining MTV Stuttgart for the current season.

Numbers: Averages a team-leading 22 points per game for a team that ranks second in its region.

Pete Mickeal

Data: 6-foot-6, forward

Q-C connection: Is a Rock Island graduate who led Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, to a pair of NJCAA national titles before completing his college career at Cincinnati.

Current address: A second-round draft pick of the Dallas Mavericks in the 2000 NBA Draft, has played professionally since. His overseas experience includes league MVP honors in Korea and the Philippines before he signed with teams in Spain's top Euro League entries.

Numbers: Is averaging 26 points and 7 rebounds early in the season for Regal FC Barcelona, the defending league champion.

Dain Swetalla

Data: 6-foot-9, center

Q-C connection: Graduated from Pleasant Valley, preceding a collegiate career at Augustana College.

Current address: Playing for Club Baloncesto Majadahonda in League EBA, a tier below the top league in Spain.

Numbers: Averages 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds for the team located in a suburb of Madrid.
