Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz isn't confirming or denying message-board rumors that offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde was injured while working out recently.

"During the course of training, guys get injured. If there is an announcement to make, we'll make it. Right now, there is nothing to report,'' Ferentz said.

The Davenport Central grad is one of three returning starters among the Hawkeyes' front five. He started nine games at left guard last season as a sophomore and has started 15 games over the first two years of his college career.
