A fundraiser will be held today for 45-year-old LeNae Ramos, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in June.
Friends of Ramos said she underwent a radically modified mastectomy of her left breast in July and began eight rounds of aggressive chemotherapy in September that is to last for six months.
The mother of three, ages 19, 16, and 9, has not been able to return to work, while her husband, George, a Bettendorf police officer, has taken off much time to help her, as well as cook and get the children where they need to be.
An account has been set up for the Ramos Family at First Central Bank for anyone to make monetary donations.
The fundraiser will be held at Del’s Eatery and Pub, 102 W. LeClaire Road, Eldridge, Iowa, from1-6 p.m. today.
