An entourage from Military Warriors Support Foundation of San Antonio, Texas, visited Davenport on Wednesday to show support and raise funds for "A Night to Honor Our Heroes."
Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba, city council members and members of the Patriot Guard attended the visit by wounded warrior Spc. Jose Santiago, Lt. Gen. Leroy Sisco (retired) and Matthew Hagee of John Hagee Ministries.
The concert and fundraising event will be held Sept. 5 in LeClaire Park to honor and raise funds for wounded warriors and their families. The night will include concerts by Christian recording artists Michael W. Smith and John Waller, with special appearance by Matthew Hagee and wounded warriors.
Tickets go on sale Aug. 1 at Family Christian Stores in Davenport and Moline.
