Jersey Ridge Road will be closed Monday, Nov. 30 beginning at 8 a.m. just south of Kimberly Road in Davenport. The closure is required so the water company can repair a broken main. The road will be reopened on Dec. 3.
Other road work to keep an eye out for today
• The Illinois Department of Transportation has rescheduled closing one westbound lane of Interstate 80 at the BNSF railroad bridge near Interstate 88 in Rock Island County. The closure is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Wednesday. The work originally was scheduled for last week, but it was postponed because of poor weather.
• Construction work will lead to lane closures on westbound Interstate 80 at the Iowa 1 interchange in Iowa City overnight tonight. The night closure is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Schmidt Construction Co. Inc. of Winfield, Iowa, will be working on the new bridge decks for the Iowa 1 bridges over Interstate 80.
• Westbound traffic on River Drive is reduced to one lane from the Village of East Davenport to about Mississippi Avenue.
• Illinois 92 in Rock Island County from just east of 121 Street West to west of Andalusia is seeing lane restrictions with a traffic signal during road repairs until Nov. 25.
• Illinois 92 (the Centennial Expressway) from 16th Street in Rock Island to south of Interstate 280. The project includes bridge replacements at 7th, 18th and 31st avenues.
