A North Carolina man pleaded guilty in local federal court Friday to receiving nude pictures from a 15-year-old Moline girl in 2007.

John P. Krauss, 51, of Charlotte, will be sentenced in U.S. District Court, Rock Island, Feb. 4 for multiple counts of receiving child pornography.

According to the charges, Krauss and the victim met online in November 2007 when she visited his page on xanga.com. They began exchanging messages via e-mail, and he asked that she send him numerous photographs, including some nude, according to the charges.

The victim told Krauss her age after he asked, the court record adds.

Krauss made more requests that were sexual in nature and received a video from the girl that was later recovered at his North Carolina residence in March 2008.
