The Semper Fidelis Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Chick-Fil-A restaurant, 2945 E. 53rd St., Davenport.

Topics to be discussed are the club's Festival of Trees participation, new membership and plans for the 2012 convention of the National Association of Colored Women's clubs July 26-30, 2012, in Des Moines.

Also, the club will meet Saturday at the home of Paula Millsap to assemble the Semper Fidelis Christmas tree for the Festival of Trees.

The club is affiliated with the Iowa and National associations of Colored Women's Clubs. The club was visited in August by Evelyn Rising, the first vice president of the national association and its youth affiliates, as well as Shirley Brown, counsel in philanthropy and event management.
