TODAY’S FORECAST
Good morning, Quad-Cities. You're waking up to 50 degrees with light rain, fog and mist . Today we'll see occasional rain mainly before 1 p.m. The high will be near 53 degrees, according ot the National Weather Service. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 36 degrees.
Minor to moderate flooding is expected on parts of the Iowa and Wapsipinicon rivers with a flood warning out for the Wapsi near DeWitt until Wednesday. Early today, the river was holding at 11.4 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet. The Wapsi is forecasted to crest to 11.5 feet this evening then fall below flood stage by Wednesday.
The Iowa River near Wapello is at 19.58 feet and is expected to crest at 19.8 feet sometime Tuesday. Flood stage is 20 feet.
