Moline firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that raced through a house at 527 17th Avenue late Saturday.
Moline Fire Department Deputy Chief Ike Sederstrom said the blaze was reported about 11 p.m.
Firefighters arriving on the scene reported the front of the home fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was knocked down quickly but fire damage was done to the front area of the single-story, single-family home.
As firefighters worked, smoke poured out from under the structure’s eaves, indicating smoke damage throughout the home.
Sederstrom said the home was occupied at the time, but that everyone got out safely.
No one was injured, he added.
A damage estimate was not available late Saturday.
An ambulance at the scene broke down and had to be towed away.
