Rock Island Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Progressive Dinner and Wine Tasting in The District of Rock Island.

The event will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, beginning at Alma Tapas Spirits, 121 Arts Alley.

Other restaurants on the tour are Rock Island Brewing Co., 1815 2nd Ave.; Le Figaro, 1708 2nd Ave.; and Blue Cat Brew Pub, 113 18th St.

You can taste and discuss wines along with expert Dimitri Papageogiou.
