Morning Optimist Club

The Quad-Cities Morning Optimist Club installed these new officers for 2009-10:

President, Pam Essner; president-elect, Ross Ferchen; first vice president, Lee Nelson; second vice president, Bill Klinkenberg; and secretary/treasurer, Dean Bacon.

Members of the board of directors include: Ken Ruefer, Frank Streit, Pam Gray, Wally Fairfield, Mary Strassburger and Gary Tschantz. The past president is Dave Phillips.

The Q-C Morning Optimist Club is one of 77 clubs in the Iowa district and has 2,800 members. Optimists help by "Bringing out the Best in Kids" by conducting service projects that enhance the lives of more than 98,000 young people in Iowa.
