Graduation

Navy Ensign Bradley Egbers, son of Linda and Greg Egbers, Bettendorf, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned to his current rank in the Navy. He completed a four-year program in which a strong academic program is combined with professional military training emphasizing the development of leadership skills.

Promotion

An induction ceremony was held in May at the Milan Armory to celebrate 10 newly promoted soldiers joining the ranks of the Non-Commissioned Officer Corps.

Eion Caho, Justin Dodge, Paul Friedrich, James Graf, William Sadlick, Samuel Salmon, Zachary Taylor, Drew Peterson, Cyle Roos and Matthew Schiess were promoted to the rank of sergeant.

All are members of Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery National Guard Unit, Milan, Ill.
