Cheese Pizza normally takes the stage in a hot mess of women's clothing and long wigs.
But for their Halloween show at RIBCO, the cross-dressing rockers will trade in their dresses for a yet-to-be-revealed theme.
John Nelson, who goes by Gill "The Hook" Fishman onstage, said they've dressed up for past Halloween shows as psycho clowns and mimes, but he wouldn't say what the band has in store for its Saturday night appearance at RIBCO.
"We get pretty excited for the Halloween show," he said. "Halloween and New Year's are probably our wildest shows."
Fishman said they're also kicking around the possibility of playing a Cheap Trick tribute night instead of their regular set list of rock covers - or possibly bringing back some songs they haven't played for a decade.
But perhaps one of the best parts of Halloween for Cheese Pizza is that it's the one night a year when they're not the only ones in costume.
"I'm more excited to see the people," Fishman said. "That's what I get geeked up about, seeing the hordes of people in the costumes and seeing how crazy they all get."
