Power restored to animal center

Power was restored today to the Quad-City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, Ill., so it could open at noon.

The center’s wellness clinic will open at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The shelter is currently housing 40 dogs, 120 cats and three rabbits. Animals will be available for adoption today.

The shelter is open noon-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Wednesday.
