Entries for Bettendorf’s Old-fashioned Fourth of July Parade are due July 2.
The 10 a.m. parade will begin at State and 23rd streets with lineup starting at
7:30 a.m. at Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce parking lot.
Greater Bettendorf Community Foundation needs volunteers to help with lineup.
Cash prizes will be awarded, depending on entries and contributions received. Mail entry form by 5 p.m. July 2 to Don Wells, 2008 July 4th Parade Entry, 2511 Bellevue Ave., Bettendorf, IA 52722. Entrants may pick up packets from 6 to 7 p.m. July 3 at Bettendorf Community Center on Grant Street.
Candy may be handed out, but not thrown in the parade. Distribution of fliers, brochures or other paper products will not be allowed. For more details or to volunteer, call Wells at (563)
