Checks also can be mailed to American Red Cross Iowa Flood Relief Fund; c/o Quad-City Bank & Trust, 3551 7th St., Moline, IL  61265. To make a donation using a credit card, call American Red Cross at (309) 743-2166.

All donations will be used to provide relief to the victims of the devastating floods in Iowa. Latest estimates predict more than $3 million damage to the state of Iowa from floods. In addition, 84 of the 99 counties in Iowa have been affected, with 80 counties declared disaster areas.

The American Red Cross to provide shelter, meals and snacks to families forced their homes. To date, more than 70,000 meals have been served and more than 3,000 cleanup kits issued. Hundreds sought refuge in dozens of shelters set up throughout the state. More than 800 Red Cross volunteers are working throughout the state providing relief to those in need.

Flood relief operations are operating in seven states along the Mississippi River. Those wishing to help with all Midwest flood relief efforts, including Illinois, may donate to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund by mailing a check to American Red Cross, 1100 River Drive, Moline. Online donations can be made at redcross.org.
