Flood of 2008: Roads closed due to flooding

• Interstate 80: The Iowa Department of Transportation is making preparations to close the eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 80 Friday afternoon for two to three days at Mile Marker 266 in Cedar County, just west of the Iowa 38 interchange (Exit 267).
Westbound I-80 traffic: Take the Iowa 38 exit ( Exit 267). Go north on Iowa 38 to U.S. 30. Then go west on U.S. 30 to Cedar Rapids. Then go south on Interstate 380 to Interstate 80 at Coralville.
Eastbound Interstate 80 traffic: Take the Interstate 380 north exit at Coralville (Exit 239). Go north on Interstate 380 to U.S. 30 in Cedar Rapids. Go east on U.S. 30 to Iowa 38. Then south on Iowa 38. The DOT is anticipating heavy traffic, congestion and delays on the detour route.
Davenport
• South Concord from River Drive to Utah Avenue.
• Beiderbecke Drive is closed east of Harrison Street to Marquette. Access to the Isle of Capri is Brady Street.
• River Drive (U.S. 67) will remain closed between Brady Street and Federal Street until further notice, with detours posted.
• Perry Street, Pershing Avenue and Iowa Street are closed south of 2nd Street to thru traffic.
• The riverfront bike path is closed west of Ripley Street.
• U.S. 61 is closed from Iowa 22 to U.S. 67 South.
Moline
• Moline’s River Drive will be closed from 23rd to 55th streets. Drivers should use 4th Avenue (Illinois 92) to cross Moline. Access is available to the Captain’s Table and Celebration Belle, which is still cruising. Old River Drive from 53rd-55th Streets is closed.
• Marquis Harbor — Access is available to Marquis Harbor. Travel to and from the harbor by river access is not advisable due to the strong current and heavy flooding.
• Ben Butterworth Parkway and Trail — Closed; use of the parkway is discouraged for safety reasons.
Scott County
• Scott Park Road (old Highway 61) is closed, with detour on 305th Street in Scott County.
• Buena Vista Road and River Camp Road near the Wapsipinicon River are closed.
Jackson County
• Bridge — The Iowa Department of Transportation says crews have been clearing log jams from the Savanna/Sabula Bridge in Jackson County, but it remains open. The Mississippi River must rise 3 more feet to cause a flood-related closure at the bridge.
• 82nd Avenue is closed from Iowa 64 north to the Maquoketa River Bridge in Monmouth Township.
• 74th Street is closed between 90th Street and 82nd Avenue in Monmouth Township.
Louisa County
• Iowa 92 in Louisa County is closed from Iowa 70 to U.S. 61 in the Columbus Junction area, with detours on local roads.
• U.S. 61 is closed north of Wapello, Iowa.
• Louisa County Road G-26 is closed in Meyerholz Lake Area, and several local roads also closed in this area.
• Iowa 99 Bridge at Oakville is closed, local traffic only on Iowa 99.
• Also, County Road G36 off Iowa 70, G26 in Gladwin area, K Avenue west of U.S. 61, I Avenue off Iowa 99, Toolesboro Landing, Cappy Russell Road and Landing, 105th Street north of Wapello.
Cedar County
• Cedar County: West Rochester Avenue, Rochester Bridge, Atalissa Road, Delta Avenue from 195th to 210th streets, 185th Street, Water Street in Cedar Bluff, Delta Avenue from 190th Street to Dixon, Iowa.
