Women who undergo routine mammograms at Trinity’s Women’s Imaging Centers now have digital mammography available to them.
Instead of using film to capture and record an image, a digital mammogram uses a special detector to convert X-rays into a digital image. The radiologist can adjust brightness and zoom in on specific areas to detect small calcifications, masses and other subtle changes that may be early signs of cancer.
To set up an appointment, call (309) 779-5870.
