Davenport police arrest Rock Island man in armed robbery

A Rock Island man who allegedly displayed a gun before robbing two people of jewelry, cell phones and cash early Saturday was arrested by Davenport police.

Adam C. Spicer, 22, of 2945 11th St., Rock Island, was charged with two counts of robbery in the second degree and is in the Scott County jail on $10,000 bond. He was arrested at about 12:30 a.m. following a police search in the vicinity of the incident in the 200 block of East 17th Street.

According to police, Spicer confronted the two victims on the street, demanded their valuables and then lifted his shirt to display what appeared to be a gun in his waist band. He then allegedly went through the pockets of the victims, taking jewelry and a cell phone from one and $65 and a cell phone from the other.
