Pachino Hill arrested, again

Walking with two others late at night in an area known for crime, Pachino Hill notched yet another arrest Tuesday night.
With just 82 hours to go before heading to jail for failing to abide by the rules of probation, the 29-year-old who is one of the most-watched criminals in the Quad-Cities admitted to officers during a pat-down Tuesday that he had a knife.
He was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon in the 1500 block of Gaines Street in Davenport. It’s a city ordinance violation. Police stopped the three while on a “special patrol” and conducting an investigation into what police reports characterized as “suspicious activity.”
Travis Oshay Perkins, 23, of Davenport was charged with possession of marijuana and aggravated interference with official acts after he fought with and injured two officers. He also attempted to swallow the drugs he had.
Dominic Antonio Howard, 24, of Davenport also was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon for the knife officers found in his pants pocket.
Hill’s attorney, Brenda Drew-Peeples, could not be reached for comment.
Scott County Attorney Mike Walton will wait for the outcome on the knife charge to determine whether to file an application to revoke Hill’s probation again, he said. Having a knife with a 3-inch blade is a city ordinance violation, not a violation of state law, he said.
Hill was sentenced to 30 days in Scott County Jail last week for violating his probation on a July 2007 charge of driving while barred. He led police on a chase during a traffic enforcement effort on the Centennial Bridge.
The violation was for his arrest in connection with a fight at the La Quinta Inn earlier this month. He is accused of hitting another person with a pipe. He also pleaded guilty to an April charge of having an open container.
He is to report to jail on Saturday morning. The judge could have sent Hill to prison for two years, eight months, on the probation violations.
He remains on probation for an October chase that began in Rock Island and ended in Davenport. On that charge, Scott County Associate Judge Christine Dalton sentenced him to not only abide by the traditional rules of probation, but to attend a church eight weeks in a row as well as a counseling program at Third Missionary Baptist Church.
He also faces charges in Rock Island County in connection with the chase. That is set to go to trial June 2.
