A Davenport man is being held in Scott County Jail in connection with a shooting in Davenport early Sunday.
The shooting happened at 3:30 p.m. at 818 E. 15th St.
Kevin Bogan, 18, of Davenport, was shot once in the back as he ran toward his house, police said.
Bogan had been arguing with two other men when the incident occurred, according to police, after two suspects showed up at Bogan’s home and tried to instigate a fight with him.
One of the suspects allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired at Bogan as he tried to seek cover in his house, police said. A second suspect allegedly took the weapon and fired additional shots at Bogan, who was struck in the lower back. Bogan’s injury is not life-threatening, police said Sunday night.
Police found evidence of at least three fired rounds that were lodged in the house. Children were in the home at the time, police said.
One of the suspects, Lewis Lonedale Lee, 20, of Davenport, was found a short time later hiding in a house on the 600 block of Douglas Court. According to police, he was taken into custody. He faces charges of going armed with intent and willful injury with serious injury.
He is being held in the Scott County Jail pending an appearance in Scott County Court. His bond is set at $15,000.
A 17-year-old juvenile also is being sought, police said. Warrants are being issued for his arrest as a result of his involvement in the shooting.
