    Good Thursday, Quad-Cities. At 6 a.m. it’s 50 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 67 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 43 degrees.

    Several area rivers are near or have dipped below flood stage as things slowly begin to get back to normal along the river. The Mississippi River in the Quad-Cities is 16.36 feet and steadily falling. It should fall to below flood stage next week.

    Driving near Sherrard, Ill., today? County highway L (63rd Street) from County highway NN (176th Avenue) south to Sherrard will be closed again from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today for road work.

    DavenportOne will hold a cleanup day for downtown Davenport from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Check-in will be the DavenportOne office at 130 W. 2nd St. Volunteers will gather for a free post-cleanup party at 6 p.m. at the Starting Line, 217 Brady St. For more information, call Marcy Hyder at (563) 322-1706.
