Republicans should be the ones blushing

I’m writing in response to the letter by Charles Milnes (“Democrats should be embarrassed,” April 14). Milnes states Democrats should be embarrassed by our two candidates. He asked, “How many deliberate lies does one have to tell to become trustworthy?”

Obviously he has forgotten, in my words, the ultimate lie. The lie that has been responsible for millions of innocent people killed or maimed for life — not only physically, but also emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The lie that has caused millions of beloved parents, siblings and millions of other family members and friends indescribable grief, sorrow and pain that apparently Milnes knows nothing about.

Oh, and let’s not forget “Mission Accomplished.” Talk about embarrassing. That embarrassed me, and I don’t even consider Bush my president.
