2008 Quad-City Times Salute to Sports honorees

The following high school student-athletes will be honored at Wednesday’s Quad-City Times Salute to Sports for their accomplishments. Criteria for selection is: baseball (first-team all-conference honors in the Mississippi Athletic Conference or Western Big Six, or all-state honors); basketball (QCT all-area or all-state honors); bowling (top-eight state placewinner in Iowa, top 16 in Illinois); cross country (top-25 state placewinner in Iowa, top-30 state placewinner in Illinois); football (QCT all-area or all-state recognition); golf (top-25 state placewinner); soccer (first-team all-MAC or Western Big Six); swimming (top-12 state placewinner in Iowa, top-24 state placewinner in Illinois); tennis (top-8 state placewinner in Iowa; top-16 state placewinner in Illinois); track (top-8 state placewinner in Iowa, top-16 state placewinner in Illinois; wrestling (top-8 state placewinner in Iowa, top-8 state placewinner in Illinois Class A, top-12 state placewinner in AA.)
