While people were caught up in the race of the presidential candidates, freedom got dealt another blow. Oh, the first ones were dealt out long ago, the ban on alcohol being one. Unfortunately, too many thirsty people overturned that one, Later came reefer madness. According to the powerful news media, it made people violent and criminal, even though as far as violence goes, alcohol is much worse, so it was made illegal.
If you look at American history, many other things were made criminal acts, even what people did in their own bedrooms.
Now, cigarette smokers are the target. Even private clubs and organizations must bow to the interference from the powers that be.
If the government is allowed to control private clubs and organizations, what will be next? There was a movie about Big Brother taking over, I believe that slowly this will come to pass. It won’t be in my time, but if we are not careful, soon conduct in your own home will be legislated.
So far, the land of the free has become the land of the legislated.
