Christian Care’s Domestic Violence Shelter and Men’s Rescue Mission, both in Rock Island, are participating in the 11th annual Feinstein Hunger Challenge $1 Million Giveaway throughout the month of April. For every dollar and each serving of food donated through April 30, Christian Care will receive a percentage of the $1 million that the Rhode Island-based Feinstein Foundation gives away every year to hunger fighting agencies throughout the United States.

Since March 1, Christian Care has received $35,568.96 in financial support and food donations equaling 23,295 servings toward the Feinstin Challenge. Last year, the Feinstein Foundation donated $593 to Christian Care, based on $42,618.52 and nearly 38,000 servings of food donated by the Quad-City community.

You can help by sending a monetary contribution to Christian Care at P.O. Box 4176, Rock Island, IL, 61204, or by dropping off food donations at Christian Care’s Men’s Mission at 2209 3rd Ave., Rock Island.

Thank you, Quad-Cities, for your kindness and generosity!

Out shopping as soon as the stores opened.
Waited until the early rush crowds thinned out and then went shopping.
Took my time and went shopping later in the day.
    Did all my shopping online.
Spent the day doing anything BUT shopping.
