Gander Mountain is the first business to adopt a cleanup area for the Waste Commission of Scott County’s new iLivehere environmental outreach program.

Alderman Barney Barnhill, 7th Ward, will present Gander Mountain with a MAKEitYOURS sign at 9:30 a.m. today at Gander Mountain, 3940 Elmore Ave., Davenport.

Barnhill is challenging others to join the program. MAKEitYOURS encourages businesses, schools, churches and community groups to adopt and maintain an area by cleaning and beautifying it throughout the year. Groups provide volunteers and iLivehere provides bags, gloves, litter tongs and safety vests.

To get involved, visit www.ilivehereqc.org or call (563) 468-4218.
