Rebuilding Together Quad-Cities, a volunteer-based home rehabilitation group, will repair 16-20 homes as a part of National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 26.

Volunteers will repair homes for some of the community’s neediest homeowners to help them live in warmth, safety, dryness and independence.

In 2007, Rebuilding Together completed 50 home repairs. In 2008, the organization plans to complete 57 projects in the Iowa and Illinois Quad-Cities, including a major “Heroes at Home” project. Also this spring,  the group will reach a major milestone — 500 home repairs completed.

The majority of the spring projects will be done start-to-finish April 26. Some of the other projects will be scheduled for the two weeks after the rebuilding day. All are expected to wrap up by mid-May.

For more information or to volunteer, call (563) 322-6534 or visit rebuildingtogetherquadcities.org.
