With the Mississippi River Davenport expected to crest at 15.99 feet on early Monday and remain at this level through Thursday, people using the riverfront should expect minor inconveniences.
Credit Island Park will close when the river reaches 15.8 feet and South Concord will remain closed, according to the city’s Public Works Deparment.
Sometime over weekend Beiderbecke Drive will close in stages from Main to Marquette streets.
Also affected will be:
— Gaines Street south of the railroad tracks to Beiderbecke.
— Perry Street between River Drive and Beiderbecke.
— The outside lanes of River Drive under the Crescent Railroad Bridge.
— Myrtle Street between 2nd Street and River Drive.
Traffic closures are put into place when needed so be alert when driving in these areas for the next week.
For detailed information on the traffic closures please go to the city Web site www.cityofdavenportiowa.com.
