A fire damaged a rural Scott County home Thursday night.
Walcott, Maysville and Blue Grass firefighters responded to a call of a house fire at 8740 210th St. at 8 p.m.
The fire was contained and put out, but the rear addition to the family room sustained heavy damage.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the home was in the process of renovation and the homeowners were not living it at the time.
The cause of fire remains under investigation.
