Dreams’ fundraising event is Friday

The Rock Island-Milan School District’s 20th annual fundraising event, “Night of 1,000 Dreams,” will be Friday at the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 25 union hall, 4600 Blackhawk Road, Rock Island. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served 6:30 to
7:30 p.m. The event’s silent auction begins at 6:30 p.m.
Funds raised through the auction of donated items for the event will go into the district’s development fund, and are available to all organizations within the district, subject to a grant process and committee.
Auction-only tickets are
$10 each. Auction-plus-dinner tickets are $20. Donated items include a Chicago Bears football helmet autographed by former Bear head coach Mike Ditka, as well as eye surgery and orthodontic packages worth more than $1,000.
