Monsanto deals for Dutch seed company

Monsanto Co. says it has reached a deal to buy Netherlands-based De Ruiter Seeds Group BV for roughly $863 Million. De Ruiter produces seeds for the greenhouse market, selling vegetable crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers and melons. The company has global annual sales of about $170.6 million.
