Black Hawk offers classes in self-discovery

Black Hawk College will offer these health-related classes during April:

n “Sound, Music and Art for Relaxation and Self-Discovery,” 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, April 1-22, Outreach Center, 301 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline. Learn how to use vibrations of sound, music and art to relax and heal yourself. The cost is $45 for residents of the Black Hawk College District, plus a $10 materials fee. Call for out-of-district rates. Pre-register at least two days before the first class.

n “The Healing Power of Story,” 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, April 1-29, Black Hawk College Technology Center, Watch Tower Plaza, 3930 11th St., Rock Island. Participants will have a chance to practice techniques of interviewing, focused reminiscence and discovering new perspectives in their own narratives. The cost is $52 for residents of the Black Hawk College District. Call for out-of-district rates. Pre-register at least two days for the first class.
