Liberty Fitness collects towels for animals

Liberty Fitness and Weight Loss, in partnership with the Scott County Animal Hospital, Eldridge, Iowa, is collecting old towels for use in hospital cages as bedding for ill pets.

The towels can be stained or slightly torn, thin or frayed, but they must be clean. Any color is acceptable. Extra towels will be donated to area shelters, humane societies and other veterinary hospitals.

The registration fee at Liberty Fitness, 3705 Utica Ridge Road, Bettendorf, will be waived for anyone who donates through March 31. For more information, call (563) 344-0200.
