I live in the Ridgeview area of Davenport.  In the last year, I have called animal control six times to pick up stray cats that are hunting in my backyard.  They’re starving for food and catching the birds we attract for the winter.  I do not blame these poor animals, they are starving and hunting for their food to survive.

It seems like every time we have one picked up, more always appear.  I don’t know if people are throwing these cats out because they can’t afford them, but that is awfully cruel to an animal.  Dogs have to be licensed, I believe a cat should also be licensed, so we could find the owners of these animals.

Someone tell me why they’re not registered to be tagged.  I go for walks on nice days and behind the Machine Shed restaurant, where they have their garbage disposal bin, there are four small cats that have been trying to live off the food all winter.

It is not right that these animals have to live like this.

Out shopping as soon as the stores opened.
Waited until the early rush crowds thinned out and then went shopping.
Took my time and went shopping later in the day.
    Did all my shopping online.
Spent the day doing anything BUT shopping.
