College to host chemistry event in Clinton

The Chemistry Olympiad will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 29 at Clinton Community College, 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton, Iowa.

The event is open to all high school chemistry students in the area. Students compete in first- and second-year exams, and the top eight finishers compete for a place on the United States team. Attending schools will receive college textbooks and lab equipment.

This event is sponsored by the Illinois-Iowa Section of the American Chemical Society.
