Dittmer becomes new president of HON Co.

Jerry Dittmer has been named president of The HON Company and executive vice president of HNI, both based in Muscatine, Iowa.

Dittmer previously was vice president and chief financial officer of HNI Corp., the parent company of HON. He will report to Stan Askren, HNI’s chairman, president and chief executive officer.

He replaces Eric Jungbluth, who has resigned.

Since joining HNI in 1991, Dittmer has held multiple senior-level financial and operational positions within HNI companies. He previously held several management positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Crown Zellerbach, Perlman & Rocque, and Arthur Andersen & Co.

HNI is the second largest office furniture manufacturer in the world and the nation’s leading manufacturer and marketer of gas and wood-burning fireplaces. Its brands include HON, Allsteel, Gunlocke, Paoli, Lamex, Heatilator, Heat & Glo, and Quadra-Fire.
