Local retailers, supermarkets, restaurants and convenience stores are participating in “Shamrocks Against Dystrophy,” a national charitable campaign associated with St. Patrick’s Day.

Residents can buy and sign $1 and $5 shamrock mobiles at participating businesses now through March 17.

Funds raised go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for research and health-care services that benefit people affected by more than 40 neuromuscular diseases. For more information on participating retailers, call (563) 359-5181.
