Police investigate stabbing near 4th and Gaines

Davenport police were investigating a stabbing late Tuesday that sent one man to the hospital.
The victim was taken to Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport. His condition was not available late Tuesday.
Police were dispatched to 717 W. 4th St., at 11:35 p.m. regarding the incident.
One person was taken into custody. Police were still trying to determine what precipitated the incident.
The deed holder to the property is Francis Housing LLLP. The building was renovated in 2006 with eight efficiency apartments for a new housing program for John Lewis Community Services that would be geared toward the chronically homeless.
