Local TV station to air war program

WQPT Quad-Cities PBS will air “War Stories” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The documentary focuses on the memories of World War II veterans from the Quad-Cities.

Veterans interviewed include Doye O’Keefe, Dr. William Shore, Nelson Larrabee, Hugo Ehlers, Jack Seales and Tom Douglas II of Davenport, Gerald Galusha of Clinton, Iowa, Richard DuBurg and Ronald Zvonik of Moline, Don Chapman of East Moline and George White of Coal Valley, Ill.

George Eaton, command historian at the Rock Island Arsenal, was also interviewed.

The program also will air at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 22, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23, 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and 7 p.m. Feb. 28.
