Bettendorf residents who have ideas for improving the city’s trail system or building new parks can attend upcoming meetings.

The city is in the process of updating its master plan for the parks department. The plan has not been updated since 2001.

From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at City Hall, 1609 State St., residents can offer their opinions about city trails as well as special use facilities and amenities. On Feb. 27, the topic of the meeting will be parks acquisition and development areas. That meeting also will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall.

If time permits at both meetings, residents also will be asked to offer short-term and long-term goals for existing parks.
