UPDATED: One person remains in critical condition after a three-vehicle accident Thursday night in Davenport.

Richard Woodhouse, 1964 Washington Ave., Wilton, was a passenger in a GMC Yukon driven by his wife, Amy. He was taken to Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, and is in critical condition. His wife is in stable condition at the same hospital.

The crash occurred at 6:38 p.m. on Kimberly Road just east of Interstate 280 when Andrew White, 1351 Iron City Ave., Atalissa, Iowa, was eastbound in a Ford Explorer and lost control on the snow-covered road. He crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with the Woodhouse vehicle.

Firefighters needed to extricate the people out of the SUVs. White suffered minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.

A Buick Rendezvous driven by Thomas Breed, Wilton, that was traveling behind the Yukon suffered some damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Breed was not injured.

The crash occurred at 6:38 p.m. when the driver of an eastbound Ford Explorer went off the road on the south shoulder, said Davenport Police Crash investigator Cpl. Brian Stevens.

The driver of the Explorer then lost control of the vehicle, which slid into the westbound lanes and struck head-on a GMC Yukon, whose occupants were a female driver and a male passenger.

Firefighters needed to extricate the people out of the SUVs.

Stevens said the injured were taken to Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A Buick Rendezvous that was traveling behind the Yukon suffered some damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle, but was drivable. The occupants of the Rendezvous were not injured.
