Iowa farm operators who suffered major forage/crop production or physical losses as a result of a severe winter storm in December may be eligible for emergency loans from the Farm Service Agency.

The disaster loans are available for farmers in Cedar, Jones, Muscatine and Scott counties, who suffered losses in the storm Dec. 10-11.

The applicant must provide an itemized list of the claimed expenses. Applicants must be unable to obtain credit from other sources.

Applications are due Sept. 4. Applications are available at the Cedar County office at 205 W. South St., Tipton, Iowa.
