The Quad-Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau received one of 13 awards from the State of Iowa’s Regional Tourism Marketing Grant Program.

Gov. Chet Culver announced $94,123 in grants from the program, which was created last year to assist communities in placing advertising in out-of-state markets.

The Quad-City bureau was awarded a $5,040 grant for a three-week radio schedule on WGN in Chicago. The bureau will match that grant, giving it $10,080 in radio advertising.
