UPDATED: Traffic on Interstate 80 just east of Walcott, Iowa is moving again in both directions after a multi-vehicle accident this morning stopped eastbound traffic.
Accident closes eastbound I-80
EARLIER REPORT: Eastbound traffic on Interstate 80 at mile marker 287 near Walcott, Iowa, is stopped this morning because of a multi-vehicle accident with injuries.
At least one person has been transported by Med-Force helicopter to a local hospital.
Westbound traffic on I-80 is moving at a crawl.
Few details are available at this time as police are investigating the accident and crews are working to clear debris from the road.
