Woman faces charges in morning 4-vehicle crash on River Drive

UPDATED: A four-vehicle, hit-and-run accident this morning left one person hospitalized and another charged with several offenses.
According to Davenport police:
A truck driven by Terri Hale-Manuel of Davenport was traveling eastbound on River Drive when Hale-Manuel lost control and the truck crossed into the westbound lanes. The truck was hit by a car driven by Brittany Fleming of Geneseo, Ill., and a truck driven by Daniel Palmer of Moline. A fourth vehicle, driven by Angela Loerzel of Davenport then crashed into Palmer’s vehicle.
Hale-Manuel left the scene, walking north on Forest Road. She was located by the Bettendorf Police Department.
Fleming was taken to Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport, for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Hale-Manuel was taken to the Scott County Jail on charges of second-offense drunken driving, driving while barred, failure to maintain control and leaving the scene of an injury accident. She also had warrants out for her arrest on drug possessions charges and failure to pay child support.

UPDATE TO EARLIER STORY: Both lanes of westbound River Drive are now open. Accident debris has been cleaned up.
ORIGINAL STORY: A four-vehicle accident is slowing westbound traffic on River Drive at Forest Road in east Davenport. Officers are on the scene and directing traffic, but the road is down to one lane as the accident site is cleaned up.
Davenport police were called to the scene shortly after 9 a.m. this morning. At least one person injured in the accident was transported to a local hospital.
The accident is one of several weather-related fender benders this morning.
