Two arrested in Mercer County on drug charges

ALEDO, Ill. — Two Quad-City residents were picked up in Mercer County on drug charges.

Michelle Martin, 29, and Jerry Kendrick, 32, both of

Davenport, were taken into

custody Monday night after a traffic stop.

“One of our deputies stopped a vehicle on U.S. 67,” Mercer County Sheriff Tom Thompson said. “Through investigating the driver and passenger, it was learned those individuals were wanted out of McDonough County on drug charges.”

Both are charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance.

Martin is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $50,000 bond and Kendrick on $100,000 bond.

They also were charged by Mercer County authorities with felony obstructing justice.

Martin’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
