Just when it seemed safe to put the ice and snow of December behind us, another storm front is moving into the Midwest.

According to the National Weather Service, the Quad-City region will see rain turning to snow by Thursday morning.

Thursday’s high temperature will be near 34 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

New snow accumulation of about an inch is expected.

A 70 percent chance of snow is likely Thursday night before midnight. The low will be 27 degrees.

Friday brings a 20 percent chance of snow under mostly cloudy skies.
